This week’s City Centre The Moment features a nice little profile on Martin for his upcoming VoiceAmerica radio show. It’s a good plug for next week’s start.

I’m working fast and furious as we are counting down to the February 5th launch of Martin’s radio show on The VoiceAmerica Channel . The first four guests have been booked. The press release has been sent out into the universe. The landline phone and headset have been purchased at Future Shop so Martin doesn’t get a square ear during the one hour show. A little more training from the good folks at The VoiceAmerica Channel and a few more rehearsals for Martin and that should just about be it. Oh yeah, I still have to tutor Martin, my non-computer guy, on how to use Outlook Express so he can read listeners’ emails. That’s right, he’s not very computer savvy, but give him a break, his expertise is that old stuff not the new stuff.

We’ve booked our first guest for Martin’s radio show “Let’s Talk Antiques” on The VoiceAmerica Channel.
It’ll be Frank Farmer Loomis IV on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 8:00am PST/11:00 EST.
He’s the author of “Antiques 101, A Crash Course in Everything Antique” and “Secrets to Affordable Antiques”(Krause Publications) and professional appraiser for over 20 years.
He’ll share in clear, simple and entertaining language the world of antiques; beginning with basics such as what’s the difference between an antique, a collectible or vintage item.
Martin’s been reading his books and prepping his questions for Frank. We’ll give away copies of Frank’s book to lucky listeners who tune in.

We met Suze Katz from Some Things Cozy last October at the Canadian Home and Country Show put on by the good folks at Canadian Home and Country magazine. The February/March 2007 issue features Suze and her cuddly, cozy, blankets. Her work is just great. It’s fun to see pieces of old sweaters that you might have worn years ago that you directed to Value Village (during a spring cleaning binge) reappearing in a new life as a blanket. Suze’s sister was at the show with a selection of her fashionable scarves. What a creative pair of sibs.

The Wag out of Westchester, NY loves our handbag caddy. It’s profiled in the December 2006/January 2007 Tips and Trends feature. Always knew those Westchester ladies had good taste.

We’re back from our Christmas break and looking forward to 2007.
I guess we aren’t busy enough with our cording, rushing and caning repairs, furniture restoration, consulting and custom upholstery because we’re introducing silverplating in 2007.
Why? Because lots of people have worn silverplate trays, trophies, candlesticks and sorry looking silverplate, and have come in to ask if we can help them. Now we can.
We’ll also repair any dents that it might have and re-attach any broken handles, feet etc.
Plus, we are able to repair sterling silver; repair any dents or re-attach any broken handles, feet etc. that it might have.
Returning it all to its original sparkling glory.
Phew…looks like it’ll be another busy year.
